I Am A Christian

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'"
I'm whispering "I was lost",
Now I'm found and forgiven.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say.. "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
who received God's good grace, somehow.
HOW DO WE KNOW HE LOVES US?
READ ROMANS 5:6-11 "GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS LOVE FOR
US...THAT WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS
CHRIST DIED FOR US."
Share this with somebody who already has this
understanding, as reinforcement.
But more importantly, share this with those who
do not have a clear understanding of what it means to be a Christian,
so that the myth that Christians think they are "perfect" or "better
than others" can be dispelled
HOPE Im doing my part, god is being so good to me right now, getting me through all my situations, so I feel its my dudty to share this to you all

Good show HDude :D As we close in on tough times ahead we need to spread the Word...not dead religion. The stereotype and "contempt prior to investigation" I felt for Christians when I was but 7 years younger was very real, and because I thought they felt holier than thou (me). The reality was, I thought I knew better than them :o We may indeed be closing in on the end times, the beginning of the end. But today, although the thought of that is not pleasant, I know that we will be transformed out of the flesh to everlasting life, so I can take on each day with joy! This is not a myth, but the truth. Amazing how that once you see the truth you are astonished that you thought any other way 8) So take heart folks, though we may not know the exact time or day of the tribulation, through Christ our sins are washed away by his blood, and the tears he shed for us. Though we shed tears today, we look forward to the kingdom to come. Oh BTW, The real battle is beginning, in towards Baghdad and in our minds. Keep your eyes focused not on man, but our creator, or you will be deceived. Cheers!! :D :D 8)
