1994 GMC Suburban... but it needs new paint and seats covers (kids car seats beat them up)... *sighs* and now I guess you EVIL if you own a SUV. :( If you own a SUV you now have to pay more for your city sticker in chicago then everyone else.

2001 white Ford Taurus....was driving a 99 olds delta 88 for 3 days in Jan until a deer decided to commit suicide  Unfortunately for me, the deer used me to commit the suicide and totaled the car LOL. I hated that car anyway. I bought it because I needed some wheels and it was the best looking ride on the lot that day. Funny how things work out, isn't it? I like this car MUCH better.

If it makes you feel any better, I've put 6 (yes SIX!!!) fuel pumps in my Lincoln LS. Ford truly does mean Found On Road Dead. :grrr:

Well it does, but that sucks for you. But then I had a COMPLETE brake job at 25,000 miles. Come to find out the brakes that Ford put into the Focus (or this year) don't last all that long and they no longer come with an indicator, so once you hear a noise you are already into the drum. So about every 10,000 or so miles, I have to take the car to a brake shop and get the brakes looked at. I have had to have the ignition replaced.

Lets see what else, I know I am missing something. I do know this, I NEVER had these kinds of problems with either of the Subarus I had or the Nissan. NEVER. Makes my blood boil when I think of all the crap this car has gone through. And what Ford refuses to own up. I mean really is right to have to have a full brake job a 25k?

Okay I am stepping off my soap box. Thank you for allowing me to whine and yes, I would like cheese with that :D

Don't even get me started on Ford brakes. I'm at 70k miles and on my 4th set. Admittedly, I drive fast and hard, but that's ridiculous. And as you noted, Ford specs their brake rotors so that they cannot be "turned" and must be replaced with each brake job.

jeep

#35 Postby cswitwer » Fri Jun 10, 2005 9:48 pm

I have a bright aqua 95 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Bought it used from a European friend in Texas when he taught there for a year but found out he couldn't take it home to Brussels. (The parking garage at his building was too short for the Jeep)

I was supposed to sell the Jeep for him, and bought it myself. Hadn't had a car in 10 years, and it's been great! I love that Jeep! Just drove her 4000 miles and I'm ready for another road trip when she gets out of the shop. :D
