We have a 3ft pool on layaway at WallyWorld for my daughter - told my hubby - its only May 2nd - she wants to go swimming already - seems so early. But our temps are in the high 80's and low 90's already.
Is it too cold yet?

Tick.. can I come over and jump in there????
It was so humid and sticky here yesterday, today is not much better
I turned on the irrigation for my son, he loves to run in and out of the sprinklers, only problem is he smells like the creature from the black lagoon by the time he has done playin. (the water is pumped out of the creek that runs around our property)....... :o

Scrubbing down our pool right now...but won't be in it for a couple of weeks. Water temp...not air temp...is what gets me in it.
I like 86+ for water temp...bath water. Been as warm as 93 in late June and that's perfect for me!
Sunshine is bringing up the temps quickly these days. I'm at about 74 and rising in the water.
In a shallower pool...should be plenty warm after some sun.
And besides, the young'ens can handle water temps in the 70-degree range with nothing but chattering teeth and plenty of smiles!

It depends on the child's level of warmth. Some children can handle pools that have 75+ temperatures, other's it needs to be bath water. Although it is not recommended, due to body insulation, children will still swim in those conditions. When the temperature reaches 80+ then it would be in the best interest to bring out the pool and let the children swim.
