Steve - this tragedy must've really been a shock to you.

Once again it has to do with someone that is mentally unstable (or presumed to be, we're not sure what medication he stopped using) and lashing out on society. Due to our laws, we cannot hold a person against their own will in a hospital (ala Britney). We have no way of making sure that the people continue to take their medication. Other than creating rules that go against people's civil liberties, this cannot be prevented. I WOULD LIKE to see better gun control laws that prevent people that have mental illness from obtaining a gun, more background checks, etc. People should have the right to own a gun but not at the expense of other people's lives.
