I think that the blackout of 2003 was due to a heat wave, if I'm not mistaken. I believe that it occurred in August. I was out visiting in Colorado at the time.

I was wondering what triggered this power outage in Florida. I'm glad that the system did work the way it was supposed to work and the event didn't last too long.

I consider myself one of the lucky ones as I wasn't out of the light for too long. Moreover, the generator did its work. When the electricity went out, the generator automatically started and the power was back on!!

I consider this a test for the hurricane season and we prevailed!!!

We were lucky here, our electric just flickered once, and that was it. My mom's went out for a hour, and she lives only a few minutes away from me.
