Many of the posters, including myself, were without electricity for a week or more. This is likely why Katrina didn't have so many pages.

Remember before Wilma there wasn't really a central thread where everything went, so whilst Katrina did have a huge amounts of posts it also had around 500 threads about it as well as the main Katrina thread, I strongly suspect that if it had been centralised like they are today Katrina would easily be a 500+ thread if not more.

Considering that there will also be Hanna to contend with (and a possible system forming out by Africa), even 1500 might be conservative. I hope S2K can handle it!

tomorrow should break the record yet again as this peaks in the gulf probably close to cat-5...

Also on track for some monster posting figures...in the last 2 hours 30 minutes, we've done nearly 400 posts...and thats not even in peak hours either!
