Only 27% of those in a tight battle for re-election voted for the bill. And most (90%) of those not running for relection voted for it. I guess for once the people might actually get their way as most people are against it.

Thank god this piece of trash failed...Also, this drop in percentage was not even as big as 1987, I believe. This is not 1929 people....

I don't expect it to drop more then 200 points tomarrow...If that...It would not suprize if it went up. The hype is making me sick.

:uarrow: I would say a lot depends on what Asian and European markets do. A lot of Asian investors could get rid of US shares and start a panic.

Historically the day after a big drop the market rallies... either way I don't expect another drop of this scale tomorrow but I guess you never know. I definitely don't think the market has hit rock bottom though, even if it makes a short-term recovery.

Asia markets are from 2-5 percent down. Not as bad as they where yesterday that some where over 8+ percent. Maybe leveling out.

The US Dollar actually rose in value vs the Euro today. Dow futures are up right now too. Hopefully this will level out tomorrow.

I'm glad that bailout failed as well...for American taxpayer's sake. I hope it never goes through.

I doubt they'll be a 777 point rise, but there should be a rally.

I agree...I believe there will be a big rally today. I'm thinking that the DJ will rise about 300 points today.

The futures are already up 180. SHoul dbe a decent day.

The only big fallout from yesterday's bailout failure is that the LIBOR rate is up to record levels, at 6.88%. It sat at 2.95% last week. LIBOR is the rate that banks charge to lend each other money in the short term. In a nutshell this means that the credit market is extremely tight right now. I suspect this will loosen a bit as the dust settles.

The entire House is up for election in November. Every two years.

Duh. I guess I should have said those who are retiring after this term voted over 9 to 1 for it.

I knew this would happen. Even a little higher then I thought. I don't trust this government and think they are trying to take us, I believe they should all go to freaking JAIL!!! I'm pissed.
