Passengers Talk About Flight 43 Incident

Passengers on Delta flight 43 were told of a security problem well before the plane landed in Cincinnati Tuesday.
An incident in Paris involving a woman wearing a heated motorcycle jacket and possessing an MP3 player led to the selection of certain passengers on the flight who were later removed and questioned upon arrival in Cincinnati.
Seven men of Middle Eastern descent were flagged for questioning.
"They didn't tell us anything till we came into the area for questioning," said Hafiz Aboudhosn, flight 43 passenger.
Aboudhosn was one of the seven people removed from flight 43.
Each passenger was taken off the plane by customs officers and airport police.
"We're all of Middle Eastern descent, it was obvious," Aboudhosn said.
Aboudhosn was born in Lebanon and was returning from a visit with family there.
Passengers were told by the captain 90 minutes prior to landing that there was a security issue. No one was allowed to leave their seats without an escort after the announcement was made.
"I was really shocked and was looking around and taking some notes of my own and everyone just kept reading and watching TV and kept really calm," Kathy Crutcher, flight 43 passenger.
Passengers said that everyone was aware of what was happening and through the whole incident fighter jets were never seen out the airplane's window. Most passengers said that had they spotted the jets, that calm would have been gone.
