I don't have any faith in California juries....not since seeing O.J. get away with two cold blooded murders in 95' :(

Southernwx - I don't think that the prosecution did a good job proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that OJ was guilty, though I think he was as well. It may not be the jurors, but the inept lawyers handling the cases.

It's really interesting seeing that they have a verdict already now that the other two jurors got the boot. I'm dying to know why they were removed from the case, which I'm sure it will come out after the verdict.

I too was always under the impression that if the verdict was swift then it's good for the prosecution. Hopefully in this case it is.

That was fast. I can see both verdicts here, but look for an appeal no matter the outcome.

If it's not guilty the prosecution can't retry.

Actually they can, if they appeal and a higher Court rules a new trial is required if there is an egregious error. Unlikely, but still.

Wouldn't that be double jeopardy?

No. If there was an error in the case, where lets say there is an error in a decision. The higher Court could remand the case to be re-tried with the new rules. This is HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

Anyway, I am looking at either one of two verdicts IMO:

1.) Not Guilty
2.) Guilty of 2nd Degree

~Judge not wearing robe yet, still in his office
~Peterson and Rocha families now in front row

KCRA says Geragos not there, but defense atty. Pat Harris is.
Verdict to be read whether Geragos is there or not.

Weird, one would think they would wait for him to arrive... since he was the head defense attorney.

Who is Jackie? Peterson's family?

They said she left although she's been there for the whole thing.

Okay, let's go!

Edit - nm, Jackie's back.
