My muse inspired me to go with a more comical ending than what I'd originally planned.

Here's Part Deux:

"Are you feeling any better, honey?" Becky asked as she came back from the bathroom with a cold, wet washcloth.
"I'm still a little queasy, but not as bad as this morning," Stewart replied, smiling weakly as he held the cool cloth against his forehead. "Could you turn on the ceiling fan, please?"
The autumn humidity alone made the heat unbearable. But ever since Stewart began feeling ill, all he wanted to do was stay indoors and relax in the air conditioning. His painful stomachaches had finally subsided, only to be replaced with almost daily episodes of vomiting.
"Your mom's making some more iced tea," Becky said, reassuringly, reaching up to grab the pull on the fan. "She and I agree...you really should go see the doctor."
"I don't need a doctor. It's not that serious. I'll be fine in a day or two. I promise, babe."
"I think it's an ulcer. I mean, think about it --"
"It is not an ulcer," Stewart interrupted, as he sat up slowly from the couch.
"I keep telling you that spicy Tex-Mex food you like so much isn't good for you. And it's fattening," she said, patting his belly.
"Oh, you are going to make such a great wife. I can tell already," Stewart said mockingly.
Becky bent down and kissed him gently on the cheek, then pulled away and stuck her tongue out at him. "I'll take that as a compliment, sir," she laughed, as she lifted his legs so she could sit on the other end of the fluffy couch. Then she rested his feet on her lap and began to massage them tenderly. "Think about it," she continued. "You were doubled up in pain after your parents' cookout in June, you thought you had appendicitis in July, and last month, you drank three bottles of Mylanta in a week's time."
"I think it was that weird amber stuff I tasted in June. I just didn't think a little taste of it would do anything to me. As far as the Fourth of July goes, I rack that up to my uncle's barbecued beans. And did you see how many crawfish I tried to eat with Bill last month?"
"Uh-huh, spicy food," Becky smiled. "See what I'm talking about?"
He knew she was right. He really needed to watch what he ate. Even his pants were feeling a little bit tighter than usual, something he simply couldn't understand since he had been swimming so much during the summer. With the holiday season approaching, he figured he might gain a few extra pounds. But he wanted to be back to his trim, buff self in time for their wedding in June, just nine months away.
"That feels so nice," Stewart moaned, changing the subject, as Becky continued to rub his feet. "They shouldn't hurt. It's not like I'm on them all the time anymore. I'm usually just sitting here watching the news these days."
"They feel swollen," she said, kneading her thumbs into the ball of his foot. Then, she couldn't help but laugh to herself.
"What's so funny?"
"Swollen feet, vomiting in the morning, weight gain, stomach cramps. If it was happening to me, it wouldn't be an ulcer. I'd probably be pregnant."
Stewart smirked. "Yeah, well, thank God it was Eve who ate the fruit first, not Adam. We guys were spared all that monthly fun and baby pains."
"One of these days, Stewie. One of these days, someone's going to figure out how to reverse that curse and you guys will finally get to experience pregnancy and labor," Becky laughed.
"Yeah, right," Stewart replied. "I'll believe that when I see it."
