It's official, Albertson's in Central Irving has been closed yesterday. They're already taking down old shelves and scraping up the tiling floor to make way for new stuff.

Like I mentioned in my past posts, the SavOn Pharmacy and the Bank of America will still be open during the remodeling. The Super Saver Foods Store will be opening in 10 days.

Super Saver has officially opened its doors Thursday. Let's hope they have better deals like they said.

Super Saver iS Albertsons Inc. What they did is invent a company named Extreme Inc. They then sell the stores that aren't making it to extreme inc. Under the banner of Super Savor. They are doing this in Florida also. I've been to one and the deals aren't that great. Wal Mart pricing is still cheaper. I am out on disability with Albertsons. Worked with them for 16 years . Unfortunately they have gone to cost cutting instead of creating sales. The last 3 years have been really sad.

We always shop at Albertson's, they seem to do very well here as there are 4 in the area.

All our Albertson's closed here about 2 years ago. We didn't have one in town, but there was one in Republic and three in Joplin. We have a Ramey Supermarket, a Save-A-Lot, and a WalMart SuperCenter here in town. None of them are great per se, but they are better than nothing.

I used to be 1 of my local Albertsons' most valued customers.. But I must admit.. Wal Mart sucked me in lol..

The stuff there is cheap.. Plus the fact that our store manager plays a game where every week if we put our grocery receipt in the box.. If he pulls ours out.. we get the entire grocery bill back.. {whether it's 2 or 200 dollars}..

So.. Wal Mart is now where I try to do most of my grocery shopping.. Which reminds me.. Monday morning on my day off.. I gotta grocery shop lol

Me and my family went there and it's not a bad store, really.

We managed to get a free 12-pack of cola after the total purchase of $10.
