Bingo!!
stormtruth....which is more important to you? Safety or convenience?
It's obvious what your posts imply, but just answer with one word, please.
It isn't a one word question. Security up to a certain point which we have now passed.
Actually, it was a one word question, safety or convenience? Which is THE most important to you?
It isn't a one word question because you need both. It's like asking someone which do you prefer food or water? You need security and convenience which is why there is a debate on the issue.

No, it's nothing at all like choosing food or water. Both of those are necessities. Convenience is well, a convenience.
I like things that are convenient. If I had to choose just one, however, no doubt it would be safety. It is clearly more important than convenience, at least to most people...who enjoy breathing and walking and things of the sort.

I am not going to worry about it all. If I get on a plane, I will make sure I do not carry anything I am not supposed to. Everything will go into the checked luggage. The next to go will be computers and cell phones. That is ok with me too. My safety comes first. We are living in new times and we will just have to adjust to it. You can bet, things will start getting worse everywhere, not just planes. The terrorists know we are inconvenienced, scared, etc. They are growing in numbers fast and tens of thousands or more ready to give their lives in a minute for their cause. So, I will just go on and live my life and glad that we have not been hit since 9/11 and take one day at a time. We can not watch everything. We will get hit again. We have to go on with our lives and I am not going to fall into the terrorists hands and let them think I am scared.

They haven't changed my life at all, unless you think just simply being more aware of my surroundings is changing my life. I don't.

Nope.. What do you think the terrorists goal is? To make it where we have to check our sports drinks at the door? Or is it there goal to kill each and everyone of us? Sure they like disrupting our lives in anyway they can.. Think of it as a ball game (very light comparison) The team wants to win games.. If they get a couple of points in the game, but still lose, it is a loss

The other problem is convenience and privacy are being traded for the illusion of security. There are still many ways they can attack and kill us. Banning iPods and bottled water does not reduce that threat.

Still on the run al-Zawahiri has said before that a goal is to destroy our economy. Reducing air travel and making us waste billions of tax payer money on security is one way to do that. Just look at our deficit. It isn't pretty.

So you don't have to drink the dirty airplane water or have to nag the stewardess or steward for a drink? Plus, what's next. Books? Are you just supposed to sit there bored on a nine hour flight.
