I think the biggest thing that hasn't been really publicized yet is in the early morning hours SYRIA has declared that they will support/deffend Hezbollah and Lebanon.
Remember that Iran said they will obliterate (attempt to at least) Israel if they fight against Syria.
That could be the flashpoint to starting more agressive multi national fighting

World War III? I might be highly wrong, but with four countries at war and the U.S possibly going in to stop the war, it's a possibility.

World War III began a long time ago with the rise of fascist-terrorism ... and the "civilized" countries better d*d well do something about it before it gets very much out of hand. Mostly what you have with Syria and Iran is sabre rattling. They know that Israel has the nukes to crystallize their major cities, and I seriously doubt they'll do anything so stupid--but then again, you never know.

Do you think Iran was made stronger when we freed the shias in the south of Iraq from Saddam's tyranny? Lots of reports that they want an Islamic state in that part of the country which has very strong ties to Iran. The Iraq War is starting to look like a much bigger mistake than most people thought. Possibly we were even tricked to go into Iraq by pro Iran peeps.

It could be but who knows, no one knows......you do have to admit though, it does sound a LOT like things that have been in the prophecy doesn't it? I don't believe that we are actually IN the end of times just yet, just sneaking up on it.....there' a LOT more things that have to come to pass

People have been talking about it being the end of the world for decades. No need cowering in a corner, living in fear of big bombs, or jumping in the air for "rapture practice."
Here's a Newsboys (Christian group) song - lyrics by Steve Taylor
Last one turns the lights out, and
makes sure every curtain's drawn
nails the shutters shut, he's sure
we are not of this world for long
Who do you think you are?
did you figure out the date?
what do you hope to do
while you sit around and wait, wait, wait?
Last one turns the lights out, and
disconnects the answer-phone
stuffs all sense of mission, says
"I just can't turn the tide alone"
Who do you think you are?
did you figure out the time?
what do you hope to do
while you hide out and whine, whine, whine...
Don't go shuttin' down
'til the trumpet sounds
and the battle is won
Don't go punchin' out
'til the final shout
and the Father says, "Well done"
Last one turns the light out, and
just keeps playing dumb
these were his instructions, he's
not sure where he got 'em from
Why do you wanna hide
in a separate class?
why do you buy the lie
of a faith under glass, glass, glass

05:53 Venezuela`s Chavez says U.S. backing of Israel is taking world toward `Holocaust` (AP)
Sounds like we can start taking sides.... some claim there will not be a war 'WWIII'... some claim we are already in WWIII...
I think some sort of war is coming. Sort of the way you could sense the tension in California before the big riots. There are too many problems and stress to not lead to a war.

Many Iraqi shiites, freed from Saddam because of the Iraq War, side against Isreal and the U.S. -- especially crazy al-Sadr.

Another article says Sadr and his Mahdi Army are considering attacks against the U.S.
What a mess.

Shiite clerics, meanwhile, used Friday prayers to denounce the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Hundreds of Iraqis demonstrated to show solidarity with the Lebanese, as fears mounted that violence in the region could spiral out of control.
Israel said it was determined to beat Hezbollah back and deny the militant fighters positions they have held along the border since 2000. Hezbollah began the current conflict Wednesday with a cross-border raid that captured two of Israel's soldiers.
"We condemn and denounce the crimes of the Zionist enemy against our Lebanese people," Shiite Sheik Asaad al-Nassiri, an aide to radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, said in his sermon at the Kufa mosque. "This offensive is considered an oppressive act against the Lebanese people and is targeting the legitimate resistance that has been an example of bravery."
Several thousand Shiites also took to the streets in Sadr City in eastern Baghdad to protest the Israeli military action. "No, no to Israel! No, no to America!" demonstrators chanted.
"Let everyone understand that we will not stand idle," read one of the banners carried by the demonstrators. "Iraq and Lebanon are calling, enough silence Arabs," read another.
Hundreds also staged protests in the cities of Kut and Amarah, southeast of Baghdad, denouncing the Israelis.
Another article says Sadr and his Mahdi Army are considering attacks against the U.S.
The radical Shiite cleric Moktada al-Sadr said Friday that Iraqis would not “sit by with folded hands” while Israel struck at Lebanon, signaling a possible increase in attacks from his mercurial militia, the Mahdi Army.
In a written statement, Mr. Sadr also said that he considered the United States culpable in the conflict unfolding in Lebanon, since America was the largest foreign ally of Israel.
Mr. Sadr’s statement was issued at a time of rising tensions between the American military and the Mahdi Army, with American forces carrying out raids against Mahdi hideouts and arresting senior leaders.
What a mess.

World War III didn't start when the North Koreans launched test missiles.
World War III won't start when Israel occupies Lebanon and bombs Damascus.
The war won't expand to Egypt and Jordan, and more than likely Iran won't do anything but increase funding and support for Hezbollah.
All that may happen is the collapse of Arab dictatorships in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. But I find that doubtful.
This isn't the first time the Israelis and Arabs have clashed. There is nothing even close to the severity of former times. There isn't a Soviet Union to mess with things more. There are countries that have peace treaties with Israel.
Its dangerous but not to the point where I'm worried about full scale war.
