Bengals Quarterback Carson Palmer injured. MRI to be conducted at the Stadium....not good. He's out for this game (knee injury). Bengals up by 3, at the half!

Oh Amy, so sorry to read what you posted. Well, for what it's worth, let him stew, rant, rave, he needs to be with other fans that are hugely disappointed as well. Let's just hope he doesn't have that much to drink. Sometimes just being in the company of those that are so caught up in it all, helps. This game has been my husband's focus for days now. Not to the point of ignoring us but he just went going around saying who dey, or wearing his Bengals gear. He joked he'd wear it to work tomorrow, if they had won. :-( Guess he won't now.

What a disappointing game. Well, they took their division and that's saying a lot!

Congrats Karan on the Steelers win. I'm not that bummed, I can't congratulate you guys.....

Gee...the Bengals looked great for quite a while there in the game...wonder how they let it get away from them?? :(

Sorry Amy about your husband thinking he has to drink his sorrow there at the bar. :(

Being a life long Bengals fan it really HURT to see them fall like they did after a 15 year "drought!" :( I'll get over it though.

Congrats to the Steelers!

Thanks Miss Mary. I just wonder what would have happened if Palmer wasn't injured. We lost several games at the beginning of the season due to Ben's injuries. This is only the beginning for the Bengals. You have a great team.

Amy, I'm going to brew a pot of Earl Grey for you and Mary. I've thrown a log on the fire and pulled out Granny's afgan. I think we should sit around the fire and talk about the weather. ((HUGS)) to you my friend.

Yeah, it's always safe to discuss the wx! And what will I do now, discuss football....from a fan of baseball.....LOL

Thanks for the tea Karan.....hubby is due home soon. He's been the most loyal Bengals fan all these long 15 years since they went to the playoffs. Never bashing them, declaring this would be their year. Year after year. Yep, people snickered, he didn't care. I told him he deserved a front row seat for just one game, for his loyalty. But he's one of many, that were so sure this would be their year. Oh well....there's always next year. At least they can't make fun of the Bengals anymore!

Amy - hoping things calm down for you.

Two words, buddy: run defense. We had none for the second half, and what happened? They ran all over us.

BTW not that it makes much difference now, but Palmer apparently tore BOTH his ACL and his MCL in his knee. He's going for surgery this week it looks like.

Well, actually I'm about to do something very uncharacteristic of myself....

Take back my congrats to the Steelers!

There's a reason I'm not a football fan and today's game is why! The Steeler's played dirty and all our players wanted to do was play the game. There I said it. Congrats taken back!

Go Reds! Running back to Baseball....next Spring of course.....sheesh. Poor Palmer!

Mary, this was taken from one of the news reports that is out. I believe it was from a paper in California.

(Afterward, von Oelhoffen apologized to Palmer, his family and the Bengals' fans, saying no player ever wants to hurt another.

"Yeah, I hate to see that happen to any player," von Oelhoffen said. "I don't think anybody on this team would intentionally do something like that."

As Palmer lay on the turf before being taken off on a cart, several Bengals players could be seen yelling toward the Steelers' huddle. But von Oelhoffen said he didn't hear any remarks directed toward him, and at least one Bengals player - Pro Bowl tackle Willie Anderson - defended him after the game.

"I know Kimo. He's not a dirty player," Anderson said of von Oelhoffen, who played for the Bengals from 1994-99 before moving to Pittsburgh for the chance to become a starter. "Guys were infuriated, but your first reaction is to defend your player. It wasn't a dirty play.")

Mary, As most of the Bengals fans know Kimo from his playing for the Bengals for 5 years, you know what a nice guy he is. I don't think this was intentional.

I'll brew you some Earl Grey.

Well, can I have some Earl Grey? :A:

Good morning everyone! I know there is a reason why Mondays are always so blah, but I have yet to figure out why. You should be well rested after the weekend... oh wait... I work all weekend, too. Never mind! lol
