I will rephrase my earlier statement, those that aren't playing nice in the sandbox are given a chance to correct their behavior. This may be via e-mail, AIM or PM If they chose not to comply, they are removed from the board's membership or suspended.

The whole idea of S2K was to create a family atmosphere where people could feel comfortable postsing about the weather and other subjects. Lord knows 2000 people aren't going to agree, but there's a right way and a wrong way to disagree. Everyone here is expected to post like a responsible adult even if you're not

Perry - We are referring to trolls and I think that j was as well. As you very well know, "time outs" help to calm things down and we do make every effort to work with the member IF THE MEMBER WANTS TO WORK WITH US. We've had MANY former members that had been banned and have asked to come back. There's always a discussion amongst the staff first to vote as to whether we feel we would like to have this member back or not. We have been VERY LENIENT with many formerly banned members and I'd say it's a 50/50 success rate.

We had discussions on AIM after I was banned but not before. I was in no way warned before I was banned. And I personally don't think it's right to ban someone for what is said on another forum. I'm not trying to drag up things from the past to start an argument or anything like that, but I think there are some unresolved issues here. I mean if I came onto this board and threatened to kill someone then I think it would be fair for you to ban me without any notification. But what I did wasn't even against the rules in my opinion, and if it was it wasn't a serious violation, yet I wasn't even warned or notified in any way of my banning.

Well we have different memories Kevin. Since this is a private board no one has a right to post here except with the permission of Chad and I. That may seem very cut and dried but it's the truth. We spend untold hours maintaining this site with the hope that people will enjoy and use it. When anyone blasts us personally or the site in general it's our right to decide that we don't want that person on the board. It doesn't matter to me whether that action occured here or elsewhere. It's is no different than deciding who to invite to your home. This is our internet home, and we try to keep it a place where everyone can enjoy but as owners, Chad and I reserve the right to make those decisions about who to invite in.

Before a user is banned there is always a warning given by an Administrator via PM. Those that listen are welcome. Those that don't get the boot. We have a one warning policy and we enforce it

Unfortunately, that isn't completely true. When I was banned earlier this year, I didn't receive any sort of warning and I wasn't notified of my banning. I just came to the board one time and found out that I couldn't log in.

I have seen mods do worse attacks then what they might accuse me of and poof gone. I smell bias, but then again this is not my site. But its tough to post when you have people attacking you and poof your gone. It's like your afraid to post anything because of tilting the sensitivity scale with the admins. I just wish they could have an even playing field. That is all.

Phil, can you please define for us what ban means? You keep coming back for some reason and is exactly why you were banned all together. Please do not blame this on southerngale or myself. Accept reponsibility for your own actions and you will go far in life. Blaming others only makes you look guilty.
