The board was good....after the election there wasnt really nothing to report that's when all of the bashing and stuff on both sides has begin. All it did was have a negative effact on storm2k.

The mods make a wise choice!

I for one, am glad its going away. That's just my 2 cents. I don't think I ever posted in there, but it looked to me just people fighting over and over again.

This board is not publically owned...if marshal and chad choose to suspend the political forum during hurricane season so be it. We must not forget that they are the ones that have put many many hours of their precious free time into making this such a wonderful board. We must not also forget that weather is the #1 purpose of this board being here in the first place. We should all take the time to thank them for what they have given us (and not asked for anything in return) instead of getting upset that one forum will be temporarily closed.

thanks for getting rid of the political board. it was the only place that made my blood boil and want to reach in there and grab somebody by the throat occasionally. i say good riddance. it stretched some relationships past the point of civility.

thanks for such a great weather board with opportunities to post items about other issues.

well, thats my whole point...a private place to debate!!!! Im a debater, and as you can tell...I really dont like the idea of it going...but im probably 1 out of the 5500 or so members, so i surely dont count

For those still looking for some political debate, Time Zone is my personal favorite political forum. Let's all be understanding of the needs of the mods and the resource issue they mentioned. Remember how slow the board gets when there's a lot of weather activity? It IS a weather board after all, and priorities have to be considered.

Good, so between Sunny, hurricanedude and rainstorm, that's 3 out of 5500 members that enjoyed it.

Count me as #4...I enjoyed the heck out of the forum, but in all honesty...ran out of debating ammo, and always found my point has already been made by somebody else. Nothing worse than repeating something somebody has already said. So...back to off topic for me when I care to rant!
