Got to see DH and got to see Must See TV on Thursday -- both pleasant distractions. Joey was the best yet!

Will comment more later -- just scanning threads and need to get to work.

I had to DVR that show too, since I am now a huge fan of DH! That was a great start to the new season, and as for the arm of the "person" in the cellar, it looked kinda on the light side to me as well.... Go figure...

I may been watching Lost too much, but it sounded odd when Alfre Woodard's character, Betty Applewhite (why do I keep thinking of Sue Ann Niven from the Mary Tyler Show when I hear that character name? LOL) told her 'son', how well he was raised and that's b/c of his mother? A proud mom doesn't pat herself on the back like that. She was referring to someone else.

So I predict 1. he is not her son. and 2. the locked up person in the basement is not his faher or necessarily male. 3. because of the rose.

Some spoilers... DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW

There will be a wedding before Christmas, probably during November Sweeps. Not sure who it is, but you can probably take a guess and be right.

Someone will die in the first 13 episodes... I've heard some rumblings that Andrew will attack George in January, but it's unclear if that actually kills him(we can hope).

In the October 9th episode, they will find out Rex was murdered, and his mother will get Bree and George arrested. Bree's lie detector test doesn't go so well apparently.

Oh and Joely Fisher, the actress who was the job interviewer on Sunday's episode, is pregnant in real life. She was being critical of Lynette for having kids AND wanting to go back to work, well, apparently the storyline of her pregnancy will be written in and cause an interesting twist.

I agree -- that mother/son relationship seems bit on the weird side (insert "I" word here).

The mother/son were freaky. Did anyone notice a bit of chemistry between them?

I'm still trying to figure out if the son leaves the house. He is TWENTY-TWO years old.

I'm very intrigued about the person in the basement. Whoever it is is only a bit of the mystery, what big secret and how this person ties in, is, IMO, an even bigger mystery.

Don't expect to find out much... That IS the major mystery this season. We probably won't even know everything til the end of the season in May(seems so far off doesn't it? ). I suspect we'll learn who the person is in either November or February Sweeps and then the remaining episodes will be slowly edging towards this big shocking mystery.

Maybe it's Zach (with an H). After all, where is he now?

I don't know... but in an upcoming episode there will be a plot where Susan helps Mike search for Zach. That's all it says on spoilerfix, so who knows.

ABC showed a scene for this Sunday on GMA this morning, it's Susan confronting Betty Applewhite about the noises from her house. She first denies anything, and then they hear the banging noises and she explains that it's Matthew, her son, doing work, and Susan's like "I hear it at 2am in the morning as well", she says, yes, he's a bit of an insomanic. Just then Matthew walks up behind them... and had not been in the house when the noises happened.

I saw that too.

And did you see the earlier one with Edie confronting Susan about Susan's disapproval of Edie dating Susan's ex? Edie says something like, "We all know you and Mike are over now and so if you're not happy, you don't want anyone else to be happy."

Yep... I recorded it and went back to it... poor Julie, Edie as a Stepmother.

Oh here's a tidbit I found out tonight... when the person who dies in the first half of the season was killed off, one of the big producers quit around the same time.

Thought that was interesting.

Oh and I'm hearing some really

:slime:

about Andrew. Remember his "rock her world"(referring to Bree) after his gay admission back in the Spring? None of it's confirmed, but if it's true, it'll probably the worst thing you could ever imagine. Think doing something and then framing your mother for it.

NEW SPOILERS: New spoilers have been added for the eighth episode below. Paul will be back soon; since the women don't have proof he's a villain, will he get away with his crimes? Harriet Hansom Harris returns as Felicia Tilman on Sunday, October 9. In an upcoming episode, Susan dons a wedding dress -- but that doesn't necessarily mean she's getting married. There will be a wedding early in the new season, though. (If it's one of the regulars getting married, my money's on Edie marrying Karl, 'cause that would just kill Susan.) And, yes, someone will die in the first 13 episodes.

There may be an episode this season where the men take center stage.

SPOILERS BY EPISODE:

2-2 October 2 YOU COULD DRIVE A PERSON CRAZY

Rex's mother Phyllis is back again--and don't be surprised when Bree slaps Phyllis, as Phyllis drives Bree nuts. Dr. Craig, Rex's doctor, returns, as does the Headmaster at Lynette's kids' school. Gabrielle makes a deal with someone in jail as a favor to Carlos, but when the plan falls through, she ends up with extra cash. Lynette settles into her new job, where she finds herself working with much younger people. Susan learns Edie's dating her ex-husband Karl--and Susan's not happy about that one bit.

2-3 October 9 YOU'LL NEVER GET AWAY FROM ME

Felicia Tilman returns! What happened to her after Zach put her in the hospital? Gabrielle's new gardener is nowhere near as hot or young as her last two gardeners. Someone's apparently sleeping with the teenage son of one of the characters. One of the characters--probably Bree--is being questioned at the police station about her possible involvement in her husband's demise. Bree's mother-in-law Phyllis gets Bree into trouble with the law. Lynette's devestated when her boss forces her to miss Parker's first day at kindergarten. Susan must accept that Edie has a major new role in Julie's life, thanks to her involvement with Karl.

2-4 MY HEART BELONGS TO DADDY

Say goodbye to John, who makes his exit in this episode. Look for Adrian Pasdar to appear as Carlos' new lawyer David Bradley for 3 episodes, starting in this episode. He openly admits to Carlos that he'll seduce Gabrielle if Carlos doesn't hire him. Also, Susan helps Mike search for the missing Zach, who should turn up. Lynette's upset when one of her kids develops an imaginary friend, possibly because she's gone back to work.

2-5 TITLE NOT KNOWN: Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match; Lynette tries to hook up her boss with a man at a bar.

2-6 TITLE NOT KNOWN: Mike's no help when Susan tries to get Zach arrested. Carlos is back in court but his lawyer David may just screw things up on purpose.

2-7 TITLE NOT KNOWN One of the housewives is supposed to cosign a loan for her mother to open a business -- but she secretly tells the loan officer it's a bad idea. One of the women--possibly Susan--finds themselves out of a job and can't return to the same work because she's been blacklisted. One of the housewives babysits twins who come close to watching an amateur stuff video made by their parents. (They’re casting new twins, so, no, it’s not Lynette.) Gabrielle meets up with models who are old friends; she feels out of place with them. When Gabrielle cannot get into her dress, she decides to go without food for a dew days. Gabrielle is 3 months pregnant at this point. Someone's taken away by an ambulance, and her life hangs in the balance.

2-8 TITLE NOT KNOWN. After an engagement notice is mistakenly placed in the newspaper, Bree is warned that George has a history of jealousy and violence. Bree meets up with an old flame but, again, George claims he and Bree are secretly engaged. A neighborhood watch meeting is called after a break-in to one of the homes. And, oh yeah . . . there's a wedding.

SPOILERS BY CHARACTER:

BETTY: Betty’s going to have a love interest, but who that is we don’t know just yet, other than that it’s the last person you’d ever expect. Betty is judgmental, manipulative, and controlling.

BREE: Rex's mom will be around for the first 3 episodes of the season. As Bree tries to keep up the appearance of being okay, she’ll visit various doctors to get sleeping pills, but is she just wanting to sleep . . . or could she be becoming suicidal?

Andrew may hate his mother, but he hates someone else more: George! Look for Andrew to attack George when George tries to kiss Bree. Andrew’s planned revenge against his mother should take place mid-season.

Apparently Bree will be the prime suspect when the police conclude Rex was murdered. She’s called in for a lie detector test, which doesn’t turn out as well as she’d hoped.

EDIE: Look for Edie to irritate Susan by dating . . . Susan’s ex-husband Karl! We’ll also meet one of Edie’s ex-husbands, as well as Edie’s six year old son. Also look for Edie to try to get closer to Julie. If Karl and Edie tie the knot, Edie will be Julie's stepmom...

GABRIELLE: Gabrielle attempts to get into a new dress, but she's become fat; she decides to go without food for a few days, but that doesn't work either. Before 2005 is over, Gabrielle will know her baby's paternity.

John’s only going to be around for a few episodes in season 2, but expect a bigger story for him in season 3. How will he leave the show? That’s unclear.

Can Carlos and Gabrielle work out their problems now that he knows about her affair with John? Maybe -- after all, they will be in marriage therapy.

Gabrielle hires a new lawyer, played by Adrian Pasdar, who openly admits he wants to Carlos he’ll seduce Gabrielle if Carlos doesn’t hire him. Will Gabrielle give into temptation with the sexy lawyer? And why does it appear that he's doing badly on purpose in the courtroom? That’s unclear so far, but we do know she’ll be having a not-so-sexy conjugal visit with her husband.

Gabrielle also hires a new gardener, who’s nowhere near as sexy as her two previous gardeners.

LYNETTE:

Tom learns it’s not easy being a stay-at-home dad. Lynette learns one of her kids has developed an imaginary friend, possibly because she’s gone back to work. Also, Lynette's forced to miss her son's first day at kindergarten.

SUSAN: Paul will be back when you least expect him. Look for Susan and Mike to continue to squabble over Zach. And for Susan and Edie to be at odds over Edie's new relationship with Julie.

MISCELLANEOUS One of the women is horrified to learn that a teenager’s sleeping with a much older woman.

Sometime during the season there’s likely to be an episode featuring flashbacks to when each of the housewives moved to Wisteria Lane. Don’t be surprised if Rex returns for that episode -- but only in flashbacks.
