Tuesday night...

#461 Postby azskyman » Tue Apr 15, 2003 11:15 pm

Had a gusty rain shower overnight last night... Another .24" of rain in the dusty raingauge.

Allergies you say? Mine kick in good this time of year with grass pollens and other good things growin'. Arizona is not a good place to come if you have allergies (think about it...we live in a dust bowl!). Still, while you are sneezing and coughing and hacking you can enjoy the sunshine nonetheless.

While you're planting, Breeze, we're about to pull out all our flowers and winter plants. They are crying uncle under the springtime sun. We'll plant some "soft cactus plants" in their place. Most flowers typical of summer everywhere else can not tolerate the dry heat and brutal sunshine of July-September.

Looks like some wild storms roaming around the midsection of the country, so be careful if you live in harms way....

Morning everyone. Looks like some rain here today, which is good news. We desperately need the moisture!

Shannon...get to feeling better soon! :)

SF - I'm no doctor but have had enough sinusitis in the past to know they rarely go away without an RX, and if they do, it takes weeks. Go to the doctor today! That's an order, lieutenant. *salutes* You'll be singing by the weekend. :wink:

Have a great day everyone!

Arizona is a great place to come for your allergies-they love it here! The problem here insofar as allergies are concerned is not the native flora as much as it is the non native crap brought here over the years by immigrants from the other parts of the World (US). Phoenix may have dry heat during July through September, but I sure don't-not with an average rainfall of 11 inches during that time period.

I'm still crappy! (Not to be confused about the Wx...yea that's really crappy! 32* and rain!!!) Just as I started walking to classes this morning...a thunderstorm decided to grace us with its presence...I was drenched. Thank goodness I could at least walk to the Union and then head underground into the concourses (which I thankfully did!) to stay dry.

Anyways, my voice is here today, gone tomorrow...that sort of thing. I'm still coughing at a good clip...I can at least breathe out of my nose right now (that means the medicine is working) I'm like a walking pharmacy right now...all kinds of meds in my backpack! With anything that I swallow...my throat feels like its burning! :o :o

It doesn't help that I have to work tonight...yelling at a bunch of kids (oh joy!) my voice will probably be gone tonight. To make matters worse, I also have a Youth Build meeting tonight that I know I have to talk at...listen closely everyone! :o

have a wonderful hump day everyone :D

Shannon...at least you have the underground concourses to walk in...those are probably a lifesaver.

Rained about .2" today and it has been very windy. Gusts at times have reached 45 mph. Driving home today I was dodging trash cans.

Have a great evening!

Join the club! I barely made it into classes this afternoon. I had to take a make-up midterm (to get points added onto Midterm #2) and my professor asked why I was in class! I has hacking at a good clip. I talked to her afterwards and said that I wasn't going to be in the 1pm class. (The make-up was right before the normal class) I took a 3 hour nap til I had to work...and that made my coughing worse! That in part, lead to no voice! Yes, you heard me right...my voice is just about gone. I'm currently taking Theraflu and will make an early bedtime tonight. I had a shot of Amaretto, so I'm hoping that helps.

I may have coulda used the Amaretto myself ... I'm feeling a little bit better today, however, aching from all the coughing yesterday ... BOTH my left side and right side ache, plus my lower back and stomach from the COUGHING!...

Hope you feel better soon, (as well do I).

Thanks,

P.S. I put some updates on the website if you want to take a look around as well (I know you like to check it out a lot).

Shannon, sounds like you need a trip to the MD too. Don't make me sic Breeze on you. She's got a syringe and knows how to use it!! :wink:

Have a superb day everyone!

Current conditions in San Juan:

Rainy
Temp=74*F
Humidyty=100%
Wind=SW at 8 mph
Pressure=29.94 inches of mercury

Well guys I am glad to be here in the porch briefly and i say to all HAPPY EASTER :)

It is a mostly cloudy and cool but dry day here in southern California. Some areas got rain but mine didn't.

I had another easy day at work. Tomorrow is likely payday. :D :D More $$$$ for me. ;)

I might be getting $800 or so in computer upgrades done to my computer in a couple of weeks. So during the week of April 28th, I might go offline for a while. I'll let you know more as I know more.

That's it from here. Wish I knew where the &&%&($$&)$ odor is coming from in here. Joshua

Hello, everyone... The sinuses are getting better slowly but surely, but I am still a little bit weak and somewhat tired.
Another beautiful day again, but there was a heavy rain shower where I was training today (Cross County P&DC) for about 15 minutes.

Is anyone still recovering from last night over at the BAR? OMG, was that fun last night!

Hello Guys,

I havent stopped by for awhile. Been really hectic around my house. (lawyers, parents, kids) all driving my around the bend.
AND I have had flu! Getting on the mend though and should be as right as rain soon.

Speaking of rain, this has been such a boring weather week, not even a sprinkle or garden variety shower, I hope that changes soon.

Anyway fellow friends, I hope you all have a fantastic easter weekend.
