The interesting thing is Gates has held the title for 13 years which was a record and if they didn't try to take over Yahoo! causing Microsoft stock to fall 15%, he would still be number 1.

As much as I admire Bill Gates, his business practices are hardly the best in the world. But you don't get to be the worlds 3rd richest guy by being fair I guess.

Just remember if he pulls it off, that 15% drop could get erased quickly

Why does the article say Bill Gates is no longer the richest person in the world? Carlos Slim was ahead of him for like 8-9 months now.
I don't know how Buffet got to the top, he won't be there for long.

I don't think Forbes ever had Slim number one because it is only an annual list. Other sources had Slim number 1.
