I've been elected moderator of the Typhoon Forecast Section of the Chinese Typhoon BBS, which is storm2k.org's Chinese counterpart. Effective in April.
I wish the two sites would maintain good relation in the future and keep exchanging datas and views. Friendship forever!

Congratulations! I hope we can find some peace between our countries also.
On another note, my brother is in your country teaching English at a school in a rural country village.

Is Qingdao an alternative spelling in the English/Roman alphabet for the port city called Tsing Dao, where the occasional US Navy ship used to visit, and the beer of the same name exported to the US is brewed?
I think the best beer I ever drank in the Asia-Pacific region was Kloster, in Thailand.
I never made it to the PRC when I was in the Navy, although I visited Hong Kong, now part of the mainland. In Hong Kong I drank mainly San Miguel.
Oddly enough, the cheapest beer in the supermarket in Singapore was Stroh's.

Re. Tsingtao/Qingdao, it's due to the
Postal Map transliteration method.

Thank you for your congrats, I will well improve the friendship between the two counterparts, as we, although come from different countries, have the same hobby, that is tracking and analyzing tropical cyclones.

I think we may form a union, which will allow us to share our information and opinions.
