When do you, or your kid(s), start school?

I start in 10 days, which is Wednesday, Aug. 20th, 2003. I'm going into 9th grade.
What about you or your kid(s)?

My daughter starts tomorrow....7th grade. Schools here on the mountain start next Monday.

It's really interesting to see how many children are starting school now! Up here it'll be right after Labor Day, either Tuesday or Wednesday.

School in most metro Atlanta counties begins tomorrow (including Douglas county); and two have already begun (on Friday)
The up side for Douglas county students: the last day of school is May 21st.

I go back to school on Monday, Aug, 25th to Missouri Southern State
UNIVERSITY. It had previously been a college and I am excited just because for no other reason it looks better on a resume.

In Massachusetts they start the Wednesday after Labor Day.
I always knew that most of the country starts school in August. At least one reason I've heard is because it gets so hot in the southern United States in late May and June, so they start two to four weeks earlier than those in the northern tier states.
