As many of you know, my best friend Mary was diagnosed with Small cell Lung Cancer last may. After months of radiation and Chemotherapy She went into remission and that was a blessing. The cancer has returned and is in her lymph nodes and she doesn't have long to live. She has chosen to stop treatment. She told me she wants a quality of life albeit short. At first I was mad and I wanted her to continue her fight. The prognosis for this type of cancer is bleak. It is not curable and even if she did get the treatment it may buy her a few more weeks or months. I have come to terms with her decision but I still want a miracle. I am asking all the the storm2K Prayer warriors to tell anyone you know to pray. I know many of us have lost loved ones to this deadly disease and at first I thought this was a selfish request, but I am still asking you to do it. Mary's son was just here to visit her for a few days and she told me when he left...she was at the airport and she actually began to understand what it would be like to lose a child. She said she never experienced pain like this...even in her treatment. I know I have to come to terms with the fact that I may lose my second best friend but I just want a Miracle and even if she does pass on and go home. I want to be sure that she is at peace. Please come together and Pray for her and her Family. Thank you God Bless

John, I can't begin to imagine how difficult it must be to lose two of your best friends within just a year or so of each other. Hopefully this will not be the case and your friend pulls through.

Oh, I'm so very sorry. I'll be praying for a miracle for Mary. I know you will come to terms with her decision and you will put a smile on her face and peace in her heart as you have done in the past. A broken heart is the worse pain you can ever experience but I know how strong you are and I know how much you will help your friend during this difficult time. ((HUGS))

Wow johnathan. How hard this must be for you but be comforted that she has come to terms with this and is at peace with herself. You have many friends that will pray for Mary and you.

Correct -she "didn't just give up". She came to terms and peace with the outcome - as you need to do also. It is not an easy road....I went through this with my sister-in-law.

It's not selfish of you to ask for a miracle for your friend. I'm so sorry that the cancer has returned. She is a very brave woman and I do understand her decision totally.

Jonathan , your friend is a very brave woman to have made her peace with her future. All you can do now is be the best friend you can be for her. She will need you in the coming months to help keep her life very full of friends and family.

I am praying already Jonathan. Mary is one brave lady, indeed. She has been through so much. She, her family and you also, are ALL in my prayers....

She is in good spirits considering the situation. I think that she has come to terms with the inevitable and I guess I have to as well. I just want a miracle and if thats not possible then I just want her to go fast and not suffer. Thanks again for all the Prayers. God Bless
