Check out this link regarding one the former TWC meteorologists and her lawsuit against TWC and one of her fellow OCM's. Wow! I was speechless when I stumbled across this just a moment ago.

Wow, indeed!

Am I shocked? Do I believe her?

No and yes. Yes because there seems to be a double standard, starting with politicians and now one of our own beloved Mets. Shame on him!

It does happen in the work place. It did to me years ago, not this relentless but today what I went thru would be termed sexual harassment. Even my former boss admits it would be. The man was married so was I. Each time he'd joke we should go out I'd say - oh but I'm happily married. You're like a brother to me. And that was the end of it. His wife didn't like me much. I was in my 20s back then. What can you do but come to work sans makeup, dirty hair and smelling like you just did a day's yard work, to ward off these jerks?

Anyway, glad they fired him.

Now that said, if this had been my favorite TWC Met, my gosh, I'd be so shocked! Just glad I was never impressed with Stokes. Not annoyed by him but not overly impressed either. He seemed too controlled and stiff to me. Must be the on-air persona he was carefully portraying.

Mary

PS - curious about something, who was Hillary's predecessor?

There was something about Bob Stokes that made me uncomfortable watching him when it was his shift.

However, it probably had more to do with how the TV makeup made him look than his being a lecher....

"A heat wave is taking over TWC and we're still a few weeks from the summer."

This kind of problems can happen in any job, but since TWC's employees have public jobs, when this kind of accusations happen, is like WOW!!!

I think Andrews noticed something strange happening when Stokes told her, "I want to see your hurricane" and it was during the off-season!!! j/k

Just a minor joke, but this sue is serious.

OMG!!

I just realized that I haven't seen Bob Stokes on the air in a while. Hillary I assumed, was canned. I couldn't stand watching her. I'm glad that she won and he's fired.

I am Bob's lawyer.

All I can say is don't believe everything you read.

She has not won a single penny against Bob for any claim, any time. She has filed claims against him in Cobb County (Georgia) Superior Court, and I expect her claims to be thrown out by a judge. We've filed counterclaims against her, including claims for defamation.

He can't speak out now because everything related to the arbitration is currently under seal. Andrews has filed an action in federal court to get the decision unsealed, and The Weather Channel is defending. Bob is not a party to that suit, but her claims in the state court action (which are currently filed under seal) were attached to her federal court action, which are not sealed. I will not let Bob talk to the media, even to defend himself against the most outlandish claims, until the federal court opens the arbitration decision and/or the state court unseals that file. Until then, all I can say is that, as juicy as these allegations are, please keep an open mind until Bob has a chance to defend himself.

Yeah, it's an unfortunate but inescapable fact that anytime there's litigation involved, the public is unlikely to get anything like a complete picture until the whole process is over with.

I'll look forward to reading the truth when it finally comes out. Thanks for the FYI, JBK.
