I walked in to target today and the first thing i saw was a display of my alltime favorite fruit...rainier cherries! I don't even care what i have to pay for them, when they're in season i buy them and buy them and buy them. I'm going to try to freeze some this year so i can have some throughout the year. (Yeah, that might last a whole 2 weeks!)

Those are my favorites too! I could eat those until I pop. lol

I will be on the lookout for them to show up in my area soon.

Thanks for the reminder!

Yeah...they're here too but I just CANNOT justify $7.99 lb. right now! I'll wait till my Rainer trees produce (maybe next summer 8-) )

They're baaaaaaaaaaaaack! The harvest seems late this year. I kept waiting for them to show up in the stores and all i've seen were bing cherries. I'm a happy little camper. Image

Kinda OT, but I saw you bought them at Target. Do y'all have a Super Target in Lafayette? Oh how I wish we had one here! When we were evacuated in Fort Worth, we loved going there.

No, it's a type of cherry.

To tell you the truth, I like cherry flavoring more than regular cherries....

To be honest I have never even tried the Rainiers, Ive always loved the Bing so much that I never ventured off that. The Bings are getting cheaper and cheaper every time I go the grocery. My kids and I will devour a bag in no time, I think they were 1.99 when I bought a bag yesterday. Maybe we will give the Rainiers a try, I always thought they looked ew, lol. :P

They are so good. I usually wait for the 2nd batch to come in. I find that the first batch is expensive and not as tasty.
