Those are some great movies..pertaining to environmental theme..

Them 1954; the fall out from nuclear bomb testing in the desert SW create giant killer ants. What can I say, I like classic sci-fi. Also it isn't one of those super preachy environmental movies, which I really hate.

"The day after tomorrow", I think it will truly happen if we still do nothing to control the global warming.

Nah ... that movie was just absurdly over the top.

I've watched Fire Down Below at least fifty times.

Certainly not Day After Tomorrow. That movie was unintentionally hilarious.

I guess I don't have a favorite, never put much thought into it.

Hollywood certainly is a fair and unbiased source of information, and their standards of scientific truth are impeccable.


Aliens versus Predator was based on a true story!

War of the worlds..1950's version. Best part was when the flying wing nuked the Martians but it didn't hurt them.....MGC

That was due to their impenetrable force-field.. well it reminds of the film Independence Day...and the Martian Attack..

How do you explain the mammoth frozen with food in its mouth? Did they make that up?
