The other day this came on Starz so we watched it. I was really amazed how good it was. The end brought back memories of a hurricane named Katrina. They show the USCG in action during Katrina.

I thought it was an excellent movie--- until they threw in the supernatural nonsense at the end.

Loved the movie. Loved the action sequences. Can't imagine doing a rescue like this in the dark!

That was a good movie!! (Would have preferred a happy ending, but hey, it's Hollywood - gotta go for what sells.)
The rescue chopper is here several times a year doing searches, and also exercises with our rescue bunch. One time I picked them up at the airport to take them to an exercise briefing, and took them to grab a bite before they left. The rescue swimmer was a nice guy, but rather quiet. I had NO IDEA the kind of training he had to accomplish to qualify, until seeing The Guardian! It's just as well, I'd have been awestruck and probably embarrassed him, LOL.

It was really good in my opinion. I saw it not long after coming out in DVDs.

The opening sequence is the best. Only because i personally know the "drowning woman", Leigh Hennessy. An absolutely wonderful and talented woman. I grew up with her, jumped on her trampoline at her house and graduated from high school with her. She was also demi moores double in gi jane.

Meh, it wasn't bad. Not jumping up and down over it.
Ashton Kutcher should stick to situational comedy (My Boss's Daughter)
