A huge loss to the comedy scene!!! He is a true legend!!

I had the honor of meeting him and getting to know him just a little when he was first starting out on the college circuit many years ago. Darn near wrecked taking him to the airport due to his joking!!

May he RIP.

Oh what a sad passing, indeed. Yes, he was one of the funniest comedians - ever. And unique!

RIP Mr. Carlin.

It's a shame to see anyone die. It's especially sad when that person still had plenty of his career to give to America.

He only got funnier with age and it's too bad that his genius has been silenced.

Funny, funny man. I used to do his "hair" routine sometimes back in the good old days when I had hair. That and the hippy dippy weatherman ...

I'm listening to all of my Carlin albums today. And like Marshall said, I feel as I've lost a dear friend. He'll never stop being funny. 50 years of comedy and he never once was outdated.

OMG!!! I LOVED it when he was on the Flip Wilson show!!

I know we still have the old albums of his comic routines around somewhere. His and Bill Cosby were our favorites to listen to over and over again.

He performed in Atlantic City alot, but I never had the chance to see him live. I didn't know that he had heart problems. What a GREAT LOSS!!!

RIP George!!!

The seven words I cannot say here or I will get banned. My condolences to George Carlin's family. I did not know he was that old.

I didn't care for his politics, but he was a very funny guy. And I'm even a religious person and found his stuff funny. What's really weird is that I didn't really discover him till a few weeks ago when I saw his old stand ups on youtube.

RIP George.

I saw that and youtube also has the "Seven Words You Cannot Say on Television". I need to look again to see if there's a video of his "Wonderful Wino" skit.
