Anyone want to learn Italian. Ive always wanted to, and with me staying at the Portofino at universal in a few weeks I have an incentive. So I thought we could play a conversational game where you can only speak in Italian. You can put the English, just put it as invisible. I think it would be great to learn a new language, and the best way is via conversation. Just put a sentence, or a paragraph if you can speak Italian. We could do the same thing with other languages too in other threads. I dont know a whole lot right now, but Ill start with what I know. You can correct me if I am wrong too.

Ciao, come tutti?

Hello, how is everyone?

I know English and Spanish and I have always wanted to learn Italian. It's so similar to Spanish that I feel it will be easy to learn. I may do it after I finish my bachelors.

Being half Italian I speak a little. Not the type of words used in general conversation though

Buon giorno! (Good morning!)

I did take Italian in middle school and High School when I lived in NY. Spanish and Italian are very similiar in their words and structure.

È molto caldo fuori di oggi.

(it is very hot outside today)

My dad's aunt speaks a bit of Italian.

I speak a very small amount of Spanish, and wouldn't mind learning some other languages (eg, German), but I don't really have the time or the motivation.

My brother, who taught Enlish Lit at a college not too terribly far from Rome told me that Italy has strong regional dialects, and the natives often don't speak "Berlitz" Italian.

I do know "Bastardi" means what you think it means. It is the plural of the Italian "Bastardo".
