Midnight, July 2, is the midpoint of the year in leap years (other years it's noon, July 2).
Now that we're halfway through this year, how has it been for you so far? Is this year better or worse than 2007?

Can't believe this year is half way over.
It's been really good for me, just graduated HS about a month ago. Had the best senior year ever. Second half of this year is going to be exciting when I start college and a new job. 2007 was pretty average for me so yeah this years' definitely been better.

We're closer to Christmas, 2008 than we are to Christmas, 2007. It seems like it was just a couple of months ago. This year is flying by. I think time actually speeds up as you get older. No, really, it does. When I was a kid, a year took forever. Now I can go to bed and wake up and 2 months have passed. Freaky stuff going on out there!

Hard to believe! Pretty soon we'll see Christmas trees on display at K-Mart! Sure seemed like they went up last August......no lie.
What I find hard to believe is this decade is winding down. And when we were facing 2000 (and all those wacky Y2K scares....LOL) no one knew what we'd call this decade. I see that VH1 is having compilation shows about the new millennium. So is that what we're calling 2000-09? LOL That's not correct, because a new millennium is 1000 years.......
This has bugged me for 8 years now - what are we calling this decade? LOL

Hmm the 00's, naughties is what its been called generally over in the Uk?
It is amazing though to think we are nearly at the back end of this decade and also hurricane season 2004 was now 4 years ago!!
