STORM2K

I want to thank everyone... the professional meteorologists, studied amateurs, and the S2K staff for their tireless work during the past week as 94L... aka: Dolly (finally!) developed and eventually came onshore. This forum provided an invaluable service for people who truly wanted the latest information. While it did get crazy at times and tempers did sometimes flare, in the end this place was a great place for recon data, real-time conditions, synoptic discussions, and storm reports. I have been a member of this forum for many years, but this system finally made me realize how valuable this forum is and I don't know what I would do without it. As a result, I will be donating! I know we have a thread for this already but I think recent events deserve another thread to encourage everyone else to help support this site.

Thanks again to everyone for their forecasts and opinions. While I hope we don't have another landfalling hurricane anytime soon, if we do this place will once again be as valuable as any other media source! Won't you donate today?

I was being a little (lot) flippant earlier but thank you for taking the time to post that message. The STORM2K community is really bigger that the sum of it's parts. While we have had a few bumps along the members here have continued to work to make S2K grow and get better every year. Thanks to each and every one of you who contribute both financially and through your participation!

I have to echo what Marshall said.

When this board was started it was in response to a lot of problems at other weather boards that were not properly moderated. None of the original members of STORM2K had in their wildest dreams the thought of what this site has become!!! As Marshall said, it is due to EVERYONE'S participation that STORM2K has become what it is today. Hopefully in the future we can ALL CONTINUE TO IMPROVE ON WHAT WE ALL HAVE CREATED.

I echo the above.Storm2k is the most greatest weather communuty in the net period.And we keep growing and making more improvements.

No doubt about it, This is by far the best weather, and for that matter general forum, anywhere. We have a great diverse group of people, and it's the people that make this the best forum out there. So thank you as well S2K!
