Pretty sure Florida State and UCF are bigger party schools than UF, I just say that from what I've heard. But pretty much every college in Florida is a party school though.

UF and FSU are both very big party schools, but UF is much larger size wise.

i can vouch for sure for FSU being a big party school, my cousin went there for the last 5 years and transformed into a "party animal" haha not necessarilly a bad thing by any means, but it was interesting since he wasn't like that before.
He has done well for himself though.... it is all about balance..as everything else in life.

OU - #5. Where my youngest daughter will attend in September! Where her dad and her uncle graduated from as well........ Partying aside, OU is an excellent school, set in an historic town (the school is over 200 years old now)....

The party school survey is meaningless. It keeps changing every year.

Which is why most college degrees are worthless. If students were busy taking courses with some intellectual meat there wouldn't be all the time available for partying.

Hey now! I majored in social life with a minor in barhopping. Image I did take some intellectual courses too and got a degree and did just fine in my life. You can't just spend your entire college years studying.

I have to agree with CM on this one. My daughter made it through one of the most notorious party schools in Texas(Texas State University formerly Southwest Texas State)in 4 years and is doing quite well for herself. Her GPA was 3.27 for the intellectual courses and at least a 6.0 for partying!!! I know because I got the 3 am calls college parents dread!!!

But the reality is that most jobs don't require a college degree in order to do them, but employers require a college degree to be hired. I could do much of the work that goes on in our office when I graduated from high school although I probably wasn't mature enough. Having taught courses from sophomore to graduate level in major universities I have learned to not be impressed with the courses or the grades that students have on their transcripts. Student performance often doesn't match the promise. Of course, out in the word beyond college it's more often than not who you know rather than what you know that counts. You'll make more money having partied with thr "right" people that you will for making an A in differential equations, dynamics, or quantum mechanics. I know plenty of people who have BSed their way to the top of the heap.

My daughter graduated from FSU in 1999 and it was and I believe still is the #1 party school out there. IMHO.

She was one of the few single females that were allowed to live in Burt Reynolds Hall where all of the Redshirts were required to live. (film major)

What a hoot!

Knot, she must have had a blast! And she even graduated from the #1 party school? Oh no, tell me it isn't so Image

Florida State is the funnest college to go to, not just because of parties but in general. I'm going to be transferring there in a year and can't wait.
