Survivor: Gabon (Season 16)

Survivor: Gabon/Earth's Last Eden premieres one week later than earlier announced, Sept. 25 instead of Sept. 18.

That's the bad news, the season premiere will be 2 hours long, instead of 1. So I'm a happy Survivor fan.....

I've always wished they'd kick off each new season with a 2 hour premiere. Perhaps they'll continue this trend?

fact789 - I had forgotten this season would be in HD. Thanks for the reminder!

Although I must admit these tired old eyes of mine cannot always tell the difference!

And a 2 hour premiere to boot! Something I always wished they do, to kick off each new season.

But I wonder, if the premiere date was pushed back from Sept. 18 to tonight, will we see two separate episodes?

The Fang tribe is beyond pathetic.

The losing tribe (doesnt deserve a name) is probably the group with the most dumb people ever put on tv. I dont see them going very far for a while.

Great double episode though! wow! it was rivetting! I have to agree, that Fang tribe is leader-less and not destined to succeed in any form or fashion. The nurse was a huge load, so maybe this will help them in future competitions by getting rid of her. Time will tell.

If the series is going to end before Christmas, and with 16 people left, there will have to be a lot of weeks of double evictions ( or people dropping out over the course of time).
But im excited for this new season.

Wasn't that impressed with the premier.
The last one they had in Africa was my least favorite of all time.
I hope it will pick up soon and get better. As for the people, there isn't one that stands out from the crowd......
I will continue to watch as I always do.

I kind of like a losing tribe - it gives you something to complain about!

The nurse is a bit much. She would get on my last nerve though. Good call on Michelle though - she pretty much asked to be voted out.

We're half way thru the second episode, will finish watching tonight hopefully. Last night was a busy night of TV viewing! Survivor, Earl, the Office, ER (which I haven't watched either but I know who didn't make it, :-(, ).......I know many were trying to juggle watching Grey's A. too.

What a night!

I'm dragging today....

I love the way they are setting this scenario up - the alliance without Ace in Kota.

What will be interesting is to see how Ace reacts when they hit their first tribal council, which I can see will be a long way off, which means that alliance will be very strong.
