Tonight in Hispanic culture is a night of celebration as the family and friends get together and have a big feast. It's like Thanksgiving but in commemoration to the birth of Jesus.

Thanksgiving was in my house this year, therefore, Nochebuena will be celebrated in my cousin's house and there will be around 40 persons between family members and friends. We usually rotate houses in the family to celebrate Thanksgiving, Nochebuena, and New Year´s Eve. The pig is being roasted and there will be rice, black beans, mash potato, salad and more. There will also be dominoes to play, likely two tables because we're too many!!!

Swedes celebrate Christmas Eve too. The family is pretty scattered this year, but I had a nice Christmas dinner with my sister and her husband and a friend last night.

Merry Christmas, everybody!
