Another very controversial exhibit is coming to MOSI in Tampa. Similar to Bodies, which was also at MOSI, Body Worlds takes off the skin of bodies and allows us to bodies in action. The exibit coming to Tampa is the third of the series, and it's full name is "Body Worlds 3 & The Story of the Heart", which focuses on cardiovascular system. If it is anything like Bodies, they will separate every little vessel from the rest of the body.

I wont post any pictures for the squeamish, but they are out there. Take a look. I probably will take a visit over there.

Body Worlds and the Brain is here at the Houston museum right now. Our kids went to the original one when it came and thought it was incredible. The wife and I haven't gone to one yet, but should. However, trying to save money since I am jobless.

My Anatomy and Physiology 2 Class at the University of South Florida
Tampa Campus is going to see this on February 12th as part of
a class "hands-on" experience. Ironically, I had a professor a year
ago in Biomedical Ethics who expressed serious complaints about
the privacy rights of the families of the bodies being violated- I'm not
sure whether that is the case...but the professor was not happy...

I went to Bodies for A&P in HS, and I might try putting together on campus as a group to go to this. $20/pop for me is expensive just to go to a museum for 3-5 hours, no matter how good it is.

They had that at the Orlando Sciece Center when we last visited, about a year or so ago, but it wasn't included with regular admission. I wanted to go in so bad and see.

It's not gross. When I first went into Bodies, I had my apprehensions, but amazement took over pretty quick. Its amazing in what they can do these days. I ended up going back for a second time, and took my parents and grandparents.
