A Dalmatian dog has earned her spots with a record-breaking litter of 18 puppies.

Button, who is the daughter of one of the dogs that starred in Disney's 101 Dalmatians remake, is getting a little help with feeding her offspring from her owners.

Anthony Bartram visited the home of the Morley family in Leicestershire to see how she, and her pups, were getting on.

I could tell just by looking at that image that they were British. What is it though in Dalmatians that produce so many pups?

Cute pic, cute story. But this is the second delivery for this 3 year old dog! The last litter she had 16 pups....

I'm sorry, but I would have say this poor female dog needs a rest!

Can she even nurse this many puppies?

Sorry to put a damper on the post content but these are my thoughts as I read the article. With so many dogs dumped in shelters, I probably wouldn't make a very good dog breeder would I? Finding 18 homes isn't going to be easy!

Okay, off my soapbox.......

The all-time record for largest litter of puppies is 24 (20 survived).

This happened in England in 2005 with a Neopolitan bull mastiff.
