Muzzammil Hassan is the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, which he launched in 2004, amid hopes that it would help portray Muslims in a more positive light.

The killing apparently occurred some time late Thursday afternoon. Detectives still are looking for the murder weapon.

"Obviously, this is the worst form of domestic violence possible," Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III said today.

Authorities say Aasiya Hassan recently had filed for divorce from her husband.

"She had an order of protection that had him out of the home as of Friday the 6th [of February]," Benz said.

Yes, moderate, a radical Muslim would have then strapped a bomb on his body and blown up a restaurant or set it off in a mall or some such place.

How awful! Perhaps he isn't devout, but lost control and reacted by doing what has been done amoung his kinfolk for centuries. Perhaps he IS devout and thoughtfully did what his religion's teaching dictates when a woman tries to behave as if she has rights like a man, rather than being a piece of property, like the house. And, since the ground was frozen, stoning was not an option.

Religion of peace? Someone out on the net called it the "religion of pieces"...
