No replies? LOL

But 14 views......I may or may not tune in. I'm sure my family will ask - why, oh why are you watching ~these~ movies? Haven't you seen them before?

LOL!

I wouldn't mind getting lost in a disaster movie or two right now. Might take ease my troubles with the economy....

there is marathon of natural disaster flicks on SciFi. . . granted they are craptastic . .

I'm watching Volcano under New York right now. . Earthstorm (something about stabilizing the moon to save the earth) and Polar Storm (violent storms threaten Earth's magnetic poles) later on <--- I wasn't kidding about crappy. ..

I like movies like that too! LOL

Love Independence Day as well.

And sometimes a really old, poorly made Sci-Fi is hilarious to watch. Like watching reruns of Lost in Space....."Danger! Danger!"......LOL

Well dang it!

I didn't realize the original Airport movie aired first, at 5 pm! The 8 pm movie is Airport 75, which is very good but I liked the original. Sigh.....oh well, can always rent it. Which I'll never do! LOL

what's funny about about these movies is my first thought when the plane lost communication with tower (when the panel came down and temporarily lost contact with the ground) was ". . . call Murdock using a friggin' cell phone . . . . until I remember that is 1975 and there were no cell phones . . .LOL

They are very dated which IMO makes them even better! In Airport 75 the flight attendants told passengers to extinguish cigarette's before their landing (but their crash occurred before the landing, obviously).

My college age daughter saw the scene with Linda Blair and her guitar. She thought immediately of Airplane (the parody). LOL!
