HE WAS NOT CONVICTED OR EVEN CHARGED!
If he is convicted, everyone her eknows I favor severe punishment. I'd send a convicted child rapist to a concentration camp AT LEAST on par with Mauthausen for a year or two, where they would learn to work, and they most certainty would be punished. But we do have to wait for the conviction, UNLESS that person is caught in the act

I agree with Derek. Punishment is only acceptable when administered to known violators of law. This is one of the major problems with vigilante justice - lack of fair trials. Doesn't matter if he had it coming.
Also, I personally believe that the judicial system is probably the most fair method of determining punishment.

Well I hope they did beat up the right person...Which in this case it looks to be so...Because of all the rights the people have that committed the crime nowadays they could only use the person of intrest instead of suspect...And if it was the right person he wont be able to do it agian untill he is released and does it again which most of these monsters normally do.
To me child rapist are worse than murders. I wish these people didn't have togo though a justice system.. But hey thats just me...Maybe because I have kids and know what punishments I would want if it was to happen to them..

I saw this on the news last night since I live in the area as well. One part of me was saying "finally the public is becoming active in getting criminals off of the street!". The other part was that yes, the public cannot take the law into their own hands. It would've been better if they made a citizen's arrest and held the guy there until the police came. This does set a bad example.
The City of Philadelphia has had a lot of problems with getting witnesses to crimes coming forth with information so that the police can apprehend the criminals. Most don't because of fear of recrimination.

Child rape suspect is much different that convicted child rapist.

I would have no problem with a CONVICTED child rapist being released to a mob for local punishment but this is a far different thing IMO.

Exactly. What happened to innocent until proven guilty!? What's the f-ing point in the justice system if people do stuff like this.
I agree with the death penalty for certain child sex offences. Even if you catch someone in the act you have to be pretty careful what you do, unless you don't mind murder charges. You might get away with killing them if it was your own kids.

Yeah, that doesnt exist in Philadelphia anymore. Another reason I'm glad I moved to Jersey.

They got the right guy...They already are saying the people that took him down will actually get rewards...Once he is formally charged...

They already are saying the people that took him down will actually get rewards...Once he is formally charged...
I think that Philadelphia looks for trouble...they should not be issuing a reward.
