A little after 1:30am you will be able to view the shuttle launch tonight. Look to the east. I saw the shuttle launch at night last November and it is a sight to behold.....MGC

No way I will be able to stay up for this one sadly.
Wish I could drive over to the coast for it. Night launches are
awesome, the beach lights up like daytime.

Live coverage and chat.

As I understand it, the window for launch ends on Friday due to other vehicles going to the ISS on Saturday.

Thanks MGC for the FYI. I wouldn't be able to stay up for it. I do hope that I get a chance to be able to see it someday.

Scrubbed again. This time due to a bad gas valve.

Launch of Discovery is targeted for no sooner than Thursday night/Friday morning at 12:22 a.m. EDT, if the technical issue that scrubbed tonight's attempt can be resolved.

I may get my wish after all. Hope they can fix the fuel valve issue and get up this weekend.
