Breaking: 6-year-old Colorado boy floats away in balloon

MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall says "This is a story we have never seen before."

Norad/USNG are scrambling. One FAA official told a NBC reporter if you have any idea on how we can resolve this situation "tell us."

So horrifying.

It's on all 3 cable news networks. Apparently, the little boy somehow got untethered from his family's hot air balloon and is now floating away to Denver.

KUSA reports that this situation could continue for another 8 hours!

Imagine what the little boy is thinking. The possiblity has been raised by one MSNBC expert that this may be a Payne Stewart 1999 replay. Pray that it is not.

Denver International is being told to re-route flights so as to not possibly cross flight paths with this balloon.

Here is the CNN breaking news alert that they just sent out:

-- A 6-year-old climbed into a balloon-like experimental aircraft built by his parents and floated into the Colorado sky.

The balloon is down but there's no sign of the child.

I hope there wasn't a child in it, ever! The dad said the door wasn't made to securely close...

I hope the boy is not on board and is hiding in fear of being disciplined. The boy is Falcon Heene. He is the son of Richard and Mayumi Heene. I saw them on Wife Swap.

Sounds like a giant hoax. The family was on ABC's Wife Swap last year and they are very much attention seekers.

Now that everyone is ok and sounds like a hoax, who's going to pay for all the search and rescue?

I didn't know this family was known. I must join the hoax sayers group now. That certainly entered my mind once I saw the balloon footage and even more when they said he was found in the attic.

Dad: Did you hear us calling your name at any time?
Falcon: Umm-hmm.
Dad: You did?
Mom: You did?
Dad: Then why didn’t you come out?
Falcon: Um...you guys said...that, um...we did this for a show.
Dad: Yeah.
Mom: No.
Dad: Mmmm...

Yeah, I knew something was up when it turned out the kid was hiding or something similar. I saw the story on MSN and saw the picture of the family; I knew it was one of the Wifeswap families so it being a hoax is likely.

That CNN video really exposed how bad they are at lying. They get very nervous after the kid tells it and they try to cover it up with fluff. Hilarious! There was even a small fart and a sigh when he said it  .

And that is the solution to all of life's problems.
