New research shows the average woman dates 24 men and will spend more than $3,000 to find "Mr. Right."

"Although you cannot put the price on true love, it seems you can certainly put a price on finding it," a spokesman for UKDating.com, which polled 2,173 of its members for the study, told The Daily Mail of London.

In the study, 7 percent of women surveyed went on 41 to 60 dates before finding someone to share their life with.

And 1 percent of women said they had been on 61 to 80 dates before finding someone suitable.

The research also revealed that despite the amount spent on each date, a third of women have left halfway through after realizing they had met "Mr. Wrong."

One in four women will meet a man just once before deciding whether or not he is "the one," according to the research.

Thirty-five percent will give a man two dates, and 16 percent make their decision after three dates.

I don't even know how many dates i went on before i met my husband. How can those women who had up to 60 dates remember every date! I didn't date much in high school but i dated alot in college. I met my husband in college and the night i met him, i went home and told my roommate that was the man i was going to marry. We'll be married 30 years this year. Not all 30 years have been a piece of cake either but i still love him.

And usually after you find "Mr. Right," it's not too long before you realize how very wrong it really is.

Oh Thank God it's not only me who can't remember. My Mr. Right was a complete ummm butthead? OK I'll go with that. When we were younger. After years of on again off again dating it finally stuck. Those dates I remember because they always turned out bad. Except the last one Been married 21 years now. So far So good. We aint killed each other yet.

A little off topic but I clicked on the link and there was another story a woman accidentally shot her estranged husband 3 times after sex. Well the first time was an accident the second and third were to get him off her. I'm not going to laugh but apparently that wasn't Mrs. Right.
