So far, our PC is "green, 5 x 5" in the sunny, fun-filled Bootheel.

Nope...nothing slowing down yet here...now news of anything happening. We'll see in time...just like with the storms -- watching and waiting.
I haven't received anything bad in my home emails (Yahoo and AOL) all week and the worm from last week only affected my work computer since it's Windows XP.

Hey, there... :o I have XP Home, and all of my inboxes are silent..."Im Stiefelnlader nichts neues" (All quiet in the Bootheel). Two inboxes are protected by McAfee, and my PC in general is scanned every day, sometimes several times a day, by our Norton 2002 with LiveUpdate feature.

Was not implying you were the hoax poster Duck. I was just giving an opinion and praying it was a hoax.
Sorry to hear that Chad. I know exactly what you are going through.

Chad, sorry for what you had to go through today.
I have been having continual problems with websites not responding with Windows 98. I keep thinking I have fixed the problem, but apparently not. I will be going fine and then websites stop responding.

I know.

I was just kidding with ya cuz most who know me know I'm the biggest skeptic in the world and I wouldn't ever post or forward a hoax. I know you weren't saying I started it, but even passing one on isn't my style. I try to stop 'em before they go further.
Sorry about that, Linda...I was trying to inject humor into my reply to you. It's hard to do sometimes since there's no way to "hear" the true tone of someone's post.
Glad to know they stopped the virus.

Chad - sorry to hear that your computer was hit by a virus. These people who have nothing better to do than create computer viruses need to spend a lifetime behind bars! With no access to a computer!
