May I brag a little.

I didn't sign on much last year. I was studying for my Bachelor's Degree. I am happy to say that, as of December 2010, I finally finished. It only took 35 years. I am 70 years old and it has been a goal of mine for many years--always top spot on my bucket list. What good will it do me? It made me happy, it kept my mind working, and it encouraged many of my fellow students. I might even go back to work soon, mentoring young college students.

So if any of you have thought about going back----do it. It is a very rewarding experience.

" What did you get your bachelors degree in?"
BS in Interdisiplinary Studies.

It took 3 semesters but, classes were broken down differently. Each wheel "as they called it", consisted of three classes. Each class completed 15 week's work in 5 weeks and met 4 hours a night, once a week. Only two absences allowed in any 15 week period and they could not be consecutive. If you failed any class in a wheel you failed all of them and the wheel had to be repeated.
Lots of writing, reading, and research on one's own. Had 2-3 minor papers (3-5) pages, 1 major paper (minimum 10 pages), and 1-2 power point presentations due each 5 weeks.
In addition, there were two online courses--one during the first wheel and one during the last wheel. I also had to take an online computer course since my computer classes were more than 5 years old. I went into the year with 104 credit hours in everything from Art & Archeology to Zoology.

Now you know why I didn't log on much last season.

Wow, what an inspirational story! :) I am very impressed and proud of your tenacity. Many people would consider age a barrier or an obstacle. Thanks for sharing!!!
