Don't laugh too hard, If you don't understand
this now, you will in a few years.....
When asked by a young patrol officer "Do you know you were speeding?
This 83-year-old woman talked herself out of a ticket by stating . . ..
"Yes, but I had to get there before I forgot where in the heck I was going."

LOL, boy I can relate, if ever I'm stopped for speeding again, maybe will try that.
The only time I ever got stopped for speeding (100mph) was on Wind River reservation (flat, straight, deserted highway) by tribal police and told him the truth: that my friend claimed he drove from his town to mine on weekends in 4-1/2hrs and I didn't believe it possible so was trying to see if I could do it going to his house, or else prove he was exaggerating. The guy tried to sound really firm, "I don't care, you are going to have to slow down. This is a warning!" but I could see his eyes twinkling... OK so I wasn't very smart when I was younger, LOL!
By the way, there used to be a very funny piece a few years back that made the rounds on email forwards. It was about forgetfulness... planning to wash the car, but getting distracted with one thing after another all day long until the day was gone and the car never got washed. Anybody seen that or know where I could find it? It was hysterical.
