"Jackass" Star Ryan Dunn Dies in Car Accident

Wow they have a photo of the crash......just aww! I mean he hit hard and speed must have also played a role in it..RIP

Just prior to the accident, Dunn posted a picture of himself drinking with friends.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you DON'T drink and drive. How many people must die or get seriously injured before that point is bashed into peoples' heads enough?

What's the saying, you live by the sword, you die by the sword?

I hope that there are no more Jackass movies that glorify stupidity. May he rest in peace along with the passenger. Thank God there were no other cars involved.

Unfortunately it will be many thousands more.

There was nothing left of that car....not to make it sound bad because dying is bad but one he was drinking and 2 he was speeding....not a good mix...the proper way to party is with a good plan and a DD....that would spare alot of lives...some people just need to stop and think once in awhile..

So sad, I know people that knew him, say he was a real nice guy.


I know the road where this crash happened from living in the area, at night there is not much light, and parts of it are winding/hilly. This is a road you do not go 5 over the speed limit on at night let alone 110. Also plenty of deer and potholes (unless they fixed them, haven't been up there in a year or so).

Bam Margera has not taken the whole thing very well, he's a mess...

He did seem to be very friendly and never hesitated to talk to people. However he was sited/ticketed for speeding and other offenses many times previously. What a waste.

To be honest I never heard of the guy as I don't watch tv, but I do know the road also, Cat 5 is right you don't drive like a maniac.

I have a BIL who is a drunk and I have no sympathy for drunks due to the situation I deal with, but be that as it may, like I said I don't know the guy, I just hope the familes involved can get some peace from this tragic situation.

I have no idea why this fool is all over the news.

This is one of those cases where the locality and responding agencies should sue the family for every dime they can get to cover response costs. There is no reason for the taxpayers to cover a cent for scraping him off the road.

That would be wonderful, but I fear most will say "it won't happen to me..." I have no sympathy for those that drink and drive and cause tragedies such as this, but I pray his family and friends can find some peace as they deal with this.

Well, it's a shame he killed someone else with him, but it just goes to show, if you live by the sword, you die by the sword, and as I keep reminding my teenage son, Dunn and his idiot friends (Bam included), are all jackasses for portraying and living a lifestyle none of us would condone (I hope) for our own children.

As many have stated here, may something good come from this.

NOOO!!! He just got started on G4's new TV show "Proving Ground" The network was FINALLY showing something cool for once and then that happened.

While one episode aired, the rest of the season is pulled until further decisions are being made. It's a shame how he died though.

If your going to be stupid, don't take someone with you. The guy is closer to a murderer in my mind then a tragic hero.

The investigation found that Dunn's Blood Alcohol was twice the legal limit and he was allegedly driving at approximately 130MPH TO 145MPH

Let this be a lesson to everyone.

Not a "Jackass" fan, but this is tragic. We can learn from this tragedy.

There is some good news, G4 will will air the remaining episodes "Proving Ground" (which brings video games to life in a style of "Mythbusters") starting June 19.
