Exactly this. What do people expect if someone's heavily addicted to drugs? Great singer but drugs were always going to ruin her life. RIP.

Unconfirmmed reports are coming in that she may have drowned in the bathtub....they say she partied very heavily the night before..no illegal drugs found in hotel room

No illegal drugs, but apparently several bottles of legal prescription drugs. A heavy night of partying, along with some Xanax and God knows what else probably fatally sedated her. She may have fallen asleep / passed out in the bathtub, then drowned.
Such a waste. She had an amazing talent and has left behind a devastated daughter, who isn't coping well.

I hope this beautiful talented woman found the peace she was looking for through her addictions. There can't be too many people that didn't see this coming. And they're celebrating her on the grammy's. Which i feel is inappropriate as we can all guess what attributed to her death.

I hope she is finally at peace. You always kind of hoped that she got past her demons. Another end of an era.

Most definitely one of the, if not the finest, voice I have ever heard. Sadly it does appear that her addictions may have been her downfall. A huge loss to the world of music.

Incredible that Jennifer Hudson was able to perform this iconic song with the current situation

I Will Always Love You is actually a Dolly Parton song which Dolly wrote and recorded in 1974 after she and Porter Wagner broke up.
I wasn't crazy about the tribute. To me i thought they showed disrespect to the other music industry people that had passed away this past year. I felt the grammy's was saying the Whitney was the only important person in the music industry that died this past year. They ALL contributed probably just as much as she did. I really feel for her daughter. She doesn't seem to be handling this well. I hope that she will be able to rely on her dad as she grieves for her mother.

Some things are best remembered after it is gone. I think Whitney is no different. She had probably one of the greatest voices of our era. Sad to see her downward spiral and go out like that. I thought Hudson did a good job with the song, it's not easy singing that song nonetheless for the reasons she did. All prayers for her and especially her daughter.
