A week from today I will spending a night with thousands of people at Florida State in an effort to fight cancer as Relay For Life.

So far, my team, the Weather Warriors, have raised over $1000, but this is well short of our goal. We are hoping to raise $1500 this year in our first effort with Relay for Life to research, prevent, and treat cancer.

Any donation would be much appreciated!!

Best of luck!

My sister-in-law has been doing this for the past 3 years in her town. Her father and my aunt died from lung cancer and she also has two cousins with cancer. We've both know survivors of breast cancer. My hairdresser's wife has lung cancer though she's never smoked. I've donated to my sister-in-law's team each year.

This is my seventh year with Relay for Life, unfortunately each year brings a new reason to Relay. Both of my parents have had cancer, my grandfather has had cancer, one of my friends this year is fighting cancer, and as you will see on my page at the link above, my dad is starting radiation to fight cancer again next month.

You do have many good reasons for doing the relay.

Best wishes for your father's treatment.
