I remember living in Houston, the summer of 78, and going to see a movie she was in, Thank God It's Friday.
I spent many Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights dancing to her music back in college. Ah, the sweet memories.
So Donna Summers...
Dim all the lights sweet darlin'
cause the night is on the way, hey baby
turn up the old victrola
gonna dance the night away, hey baby
dim all the lights sweet darlin'
dim all the lights sweet honey...

True. She wrote Dim All the Lights herself and the song hit number 2 on the Top 40. She actually became a fairly prolific songwriter. Cancer ran in her family-her Mother died from pancreatic Cancer and I believe one of sisters died from Cancer as well.

Dim All the Lights is a great song. I'm going to have to download it through ITunes. Forgot about that one!
