Had the gator lived, they should have arrested it for leaving the scene of an accident careless walking and j-walking

when my husband was working at the plant in FT. Meade FL , coming home one afternoon from a day shift, he ran over a big gator lying on the road sunning itself.The gator covered the road from side to side, at least 12 ft long. After my husband ran over it, he stopped to see if he had killed it. When he looked back at the gator, he saw it get up and take off across the road into the woods along the road. It scared my husband he said.
