Okay, that's just a little too freaky!

My first choice was 49. Then I said no I'll choose my age, 48. Well, wouldn't you know it he said my number was 49!

Then I chose 26, he said it again.

Now come on, how does that happen? Feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.

It worked both times I tried it!

It must go through a process of elimination after each time you tell it whether or not it's there.

Pretty cool!

Cool! I used to know a card trick that used the same type of logic.

They can't fool you Stephanie!
It displays 6 screens. That's enough to narrow it down to one number.
Each screen shows 32 numbers which is half of the possible numbers.
The first pass narrows it down from 63 to 32.
The second pass to 16
The third pass to 8
the 4th to 4
the 5th to 2
the 6th to 1

I believe that it says "one to 63" only to throw people off. It would work the same if they said "one to 64." People may recognize that as a power of two.

Don't play number games with engineers or accountants!
